After a time, the blouse that was gifted to Grandma, lost its lustre. It wasn't really her style anyway, but being the kind of person that always wore the gift anytime she knew the giver was going to be visiting, it was a bit of a blessing to finally see it out. The fabric retired to the rag bag for quilting scrap, the buttons where tinned.
The original button is most definitely vintage, if not downright antique, since it was pulled from Grandma's button box and she collected buttons, yes, in a Danish cookie tin along with a chocolate tin or 3, for decades until her passing in the late 90's.
