This button, with its stripes, feels like it fell off a contemporary, for the late 50's, suit. The rest of the suit likely became clothes for a child, and a doll, sewn on her reliable Singer treadle.
The original button is most definitely vintage, if not downright antique, since it was pulled from Grandma's button box and she collected buttons, yes, in a Danish cookie tin along with a chocolate tin or 3, for decades, until her passing in the late 90's.
