Appears in Book IV of the Wilson records and used at the time by the local Caledonian Society. The Stirling and Bannockburn Caledonian Society tartan produced by Wilson's of Bannockburn (in their 1847 Pattern Book) has been recognised in more recent times as the District tartan for the Stirling and Bannockburn area of central Scotland. It was used to clothe their officers and boys being educated by them
